In September, The Orthopaedic Institute of Southern Illinois welcomed it’s newest physician and orthopaedic surgeon, Brian K. Daines, MD. Dr. Daines is fellowship trained in total joint replacement and arthritis surgery and is committed to the study of hip and knee replacements.
Dr. Daines received his undergraduate degree in biochemistry from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah and his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City, New York. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington and finished his training in adult reconstruction at the Colorado Joint Replacement Center in Denver, Colorado under the direction of Dr. Douglas A. Dennis.
Dr. Daines’ clinic interests include the care and management of arthritic deformity in the hip and knee. He has undergone training in minimally invasive surgical techiques as well as computer navigated surgery.
